Unhappy Help with "Classic NES Series" GBA roms

[SIZE=4]Whenever I try to run "Classic NES Series - The Legend of Zelda" or "Classic NES Series - Zelda II - The adventure of Link", it comes up with a "Corrupt save file" message, much like the one in Super Mario Advance 4. Any ideas on how to fix this? (I couldn't use the Super Mario Advance 4 solution because that is rom-specific).

    Thanks,

    -Franklint

EDIT: actually, after checking the rom again, remembered that it is actually a "Game Pak Error", as opposed to "Corrupt save file".

I *beleive* that the Classic NES series are an EMU + ROM in a GBA Cart so I'm not sure GBA Emulators will run them. I may be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time, but I heard that's how it goes.

Sorry, I'm a n00b. When you say an EMU + ROM, do you mean an emulator and a rom in one cart? How would that work???

Well the cart contains a NES emulator and a ROM dump of the original NES game. So you're trying to run an emulator with an emulator, and that's probably you're problem.

I think it's going to be so much easier to just get a NES emulator and play the original NES rom's.

    Well I'll be ^^
Makes more sense to me to play the original ROM's rather than emulating an emulator though.
    Handy link though, thanks :D

VBA over is the way to go

Though not for NES classics it's just not worth it when there is a beter 3rd party NES emu for the GBA called PocketNES

There is even a emu called Unofficial Famicom Advance that has Famicom Disk System (fds) support

P.S. I have a VBA ini with more games/versions included, basicly it covers all regions, prolly needs updating aswell though

I'm back people! Thanks for the link, SegNin. Most helpful, I'm sure. However, I still couldn't get the Classic NES games to run, possibly because they are region UE as opposed to just region U. Any chance of attaching your expanded ini file, Zorlon? PPPPPPPPPPWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAASS SSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!!!

I didn't include the classic Nes roms thougfh sorry it's easy enough to add the other versions though

I might add them tonight if they are realy wanted, the roms though still need fixing as setting the save type alone will not get those running

You mean you have to patch the roms too?

Meh...seems like alot of trouble to go through just to play NES games on a GBA emulator.

Where would you find these patches anyway? IRC?

I believe you just dummy the file size up I havn't looked at the GBA NES ports in such a long time though because I like Pocket NES more, prolly dummying up to 8Mbit or 16Mbit will do the trick, I'll look into that if needs be

The only released patch I know of is for Classic NES Zelda
