Mmmm, try Eternal SPU v1.41. Could be that.
    I know, sound plugin, WTF?
But since I haven't played this one, I can't tell you which options should be checked or not.

He's wrong actually. Look under special game fixes and you should see an option called Ignore Black Brightness. The description for it is "Fixes black screens in Lunar". Activate that.

If you don't know where to find it:

Config-> Video. Click configure. Look near the bottom of the menu and you should see an option called special game fixes. Make sure there is a check mark next to it. Now click the three dots next to that option. In that menu, make sure there is a check mark next to Ignore black brightness. Click OK. Make sure there is a check mark next to special game fixes. Click OK again. Click OK a final time at the Plugin config menu. Then just run the game.

It doesn't always have that "... in Lunar", Omega.

It does when using Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.7 to play Lunar SSS or Lunar EBC.
