Depends what speed your video card is.

well the thing is i have no agp video card i use a crappy chipset and am SERIOUSLY considering upgrading since all these games starwars battlefront 2 and Call of Duty 2 needs heavy duty graphics cards. My chipset is a Geforce 4 MX which has no pixel shading nor vertex shaders ...

That sorta didn't make sense, so i'm assuming you're referring to your PCI video card as your "chipset"?

Well, usually jumpers on the video card determine what speed it runs at.

i don't think you get my question...my chipset is my vid card. It's on the motherboard it shares with my ram i have it set at 128MB right now. But i know for the video card you can change the agp speed on the video card but i'm talking about my MOTHERBOARD agp slot. IT says it can support 4x or 8x but right now it's set on to support 4x agp vid cards. i wanna know how you change it to 8x support so i can potentially buy a better vid card.

everyone has a biostar? lmao, i refuse to own a biostar, they just dont work for me. its all about the MSI and EPoX boards. if you have a 4x/8x agp slot, buy either a 4x/8x card, or an 8x card. before you install, go to your bios, under advanced settings, enable AGP 8x support, and in integrated peripherals, set init display first to AGP. save & exit, then turn off the comp. then install your shit.
