    Close this topic please.

DoubleH, bad first post. You cannot play torrents, you should use them as "download links" for BitTorrent programs like BitTorrent and Azureus. And it is possible to play a game on a pc, but just a few with low speed and no sound. Try reading the .elf loader topic. (sorry, but I have to say you're a noob.)

Some PS2 games are playable on a PC,,, but even with an AMD64 3200+(2.20GHz), 1024MB ram, and a nVidia GeForce FX5950u Suikoden III [NTSC] only ran at around 2-4 fps for me. and the PS2 start up runs anywhere from 20-75% for me as i've shown in screenies at the bottom. But even so PS2 emulation is far from anywhere near complete or playable unless you have alot of patience and don't mind playing ceratin games that do work at 5% normal speed.

Here's my Pcsx2 stats (but I woulden't recomend these unles you have a very fast computer):
    PCSX2 Configuration
    PCSX2 0.8 SSE
    Recomplier enabled,
    Europe v01.60 [04-10-2001] Console
    GSdx9 0.7 [SSE2] - PS1.4
    SPU2null Drive 0.4
    SSSPSX PAD Plugin 1.4
    P.E.Op.S. CDVD Driver 1.2
    DEV9null driver 0.3
    USBnull Driver 0.4
    FWnull Driver 0.4

    *quick edit*
For all reading this going "ZOMGWTFBBQ I CAN PLAY FFX!!1!" you can't, the 3d backgrounds will not render properly causeing the emulation to freeze and start looping endlessly.

PS2 emulation is a waste of time right now pretty much, even with a beefy system it's good for nothing besides messing around.

There are a ton of methods to get backups to work on a PS2. Nearly any way you look at it besides possibly MCexploiting(even then you need a compatible HDD...)will cost you something but in the long run I think it's well worth it.

I completly agree, I just like to try the new versions as they come out and see how they are coming along. You'd have to be on crack to play games that slow lol.
