    Default Constant Freezing

I've been having trouble with my computer lately, it just loves to freeze during games. It'll just freeze and start making this annoying repetative beeping kinda sound. I have to reboot my computer to get it back to working order, but it just loves to do it and not just one game, like any game really.
My computer specs are Intel p4 2.4 ghz, ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb, 1 gig of RAM, Asus Motherboard.

Not quite sure what other kind of information you guys might need. I tried scanning for viruses, spyware, and I installed the latest driver for ati. If you need something else ask me, I'd like to try to get this problem fixed so I can actually play games without worrying about it freezing on me

I think it might be over heating.
    Probably the video card.

    It depends how they're placed.
You want them placed so that the Hot air leaves as it intakes cold air.
    Good air flow is key.

    EDIT>
Have you tried Un-installing the games and re-installing them?

Yea I've tried reinstalling them, it's not like it's just one game, it's any game. It'll just freeze.

Sounds like an over heating problem as I said before.
If all else fails try to install windows agian and see where that gets you.

    EDIT>
Also have you tried to clean your registry?

I'd go with overheating too. With the beeping, it sounds like some error generated by the BIOS. Another possibility could be the power supply...

Yes, the PSU now that I think about it.
I've read several threads at EOC where people had problems similar to this.
So try and take one or more of those case fans out. You might not have enough watts to power the entire rig.

Do you have the latest Catalyst Radeon driver? I think it displays how hot your card is.

Do you have a wireless card? I found out that that was my problem caused constant freezing during CS.

It depends if his Card has a heat sensor or not,
what you can do is download atitool,
and check for artifacts and leave it on over night,
if there are artifacts on the default settings then It must be your graphics card overheating.

If you use ATItools, do NOT touch the 2 sliders, that will over clock the card making it workse.
