    Default FFIX Questions

Hello, I am posting this because I am confused.

If you go into the Final Fantasy IX ISO area there are 4 links. I know these all lead to download the ISOs. But something is confusing me.

If you proceed to vote, and enter any one of the ISO download areas, there is about 9-10 different files. I was just wondering if I had to download them all, or just 1.

My next question is, during the game it will most likely promt you to switch disks. What do I do then? Open up the disk 2 ISO?

Could someone please help me? I don't really know how to find out specs from my computer, but I do know that I have a 128MB RAM, and 2 hardrives (13.9 GBs each).

If you know anything that could help me out, it would be much appreciated.

4 disks each 9-10 parts which have to be unzipped or unrarred.
To do that, just right click on the first file and select open to (name of the game). As far as changing disks goes, when the game prompts you, just press esc on your keyboard or file or edit in the emu window and select change disk. Select the new disk. BTW, all disks should be unzipped. Takes a lot of time, so you don't want to be kept waiting while your playing.

EDIT--->Don't double post, click on the edit button in the bottom right part of your post. But that's ok, you seem new.

Exactly what I was looking for. Also, Akuma do you know if there's another place where he can find a faster dl for FF9 : YSI, torrent, etc ? And you might know more than I about finding specs on your cpu.

EDIT---> The next time you turn your computer on go into the setup by pressing whichever button they tell you to when it's booting.

Go to Start->Control Panel->System. You should see something like this:

As for a fast dl of FF9, good luck, I dunno of any right now.

Just go ask for it in the YouSendIt thread: http://forums.emuparadise.org/showthread.php?t=27813
Check back and maybe someone will be kind enough to do so. WAY faster than the rest. With a decent connection, a 50mo piece takes less than 30 min, even sometimes less than 10! Then go to the "Links only" thread for the links.

EDIT---> Damn you and your efficient XP! AARRGHHH. Stuck with 98 SE.

Another FF IX question: does the unRar'd disc one offer a .cue along with the .bin? I downloaded and extracted it, but it only had the .bin. I'm wondering if some of the files got corrupted.

Don't worry about the .cue file. You won't need it if you're using epsxe. But if you want to burn it, you can create a cue file with notepad so you're good.

Uh, pray tell how one would do that?

    Put this in notepad:

    FILE "name-of-your-image.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

Save your files with a .cue extension.
