    Default chrono cross

    Hello everyone.

A few months back I bought the Greatest Hits version of Chrono Cross and from reviews I read was very eager to play it. I put the game in and it worked fine. However just after I won the first battle (on the screen where you get your EXP etc.) the game crashed. I thought that it just might be one of those things so I resetted it and tried again. On my second play I did get past it but it froze again on about my third battle (again on the EXP screen). My PSX is modded to play NTSC games (as I live in England) and I haven't had any other problems with other games (both local and import) so I don't think it's the laser.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so could you tell me please if you were able to fix the problem as I would really like to play the game.

It's not the best solution but you could play it with ePSXe.

You waited months? Sorry, but I'm a little dumbfounded here. If you buy a game and it doesn't work don't you usually trade it in for a new copy?

Unfortunately I got it from e-bay and the seller came off e-bay soon after I purchased it so I wasn't able to exchange it. I don't think it's a fault on the seller though as they had about 99.7% feedback and it was shrinkwrapped.

Do you play your modded PSX alot..?

As in have any other games had crashing errors...

It's possible your laser is messed up...

Though it sounds like it could be a defective disk...
