I saw Priest in concert back in high school...way before he came out.

Halford was known as gay before I was even born. Not officially outed, but it was an open secret going back to the early 80s.

    Doesn't effect my listening.

That whole leather-and-studs thing? Give you one guess where Halford got that look from.

Yeah, when I found out he was gay, I kinda went "oh, well, yeah"

I am trying to think of who opened for them when I went...I am thinking it was Cinderella. Around the "Long Cold Winter" time.

It's a bit more amusing when you realise that Halford didn't just popularise that look, he more or less introduced the whole leather thing into metal. And all those ultra-macho fagbashers out there just lapped it up.

Mate. I'm from Adelaide. 40 degree heat in the shade is nothing unusual for our summers. People can get minor burns just from wearing black t-shirts if they're too tight.

    Wacken can't be that hot.

Well fair enough. But coming from England, heat affects me a tad too much I suppose.

I'd say it was low 30s. On the last day the hay on the ground at the stage set alight, whether it was 'cos it was so dry or 'cos some fuck set it onfire I dunno, but it was damn hot.

Low 30's....larfs larfs larfs, that's a very cool summer day.

Also 50% chance that I may be attending Wacken 2008, just depends if there's any assesment or hospital placements in the 1st 2 weeks of 2nd semester next year.

We should have an Emuparadise camp, and our own flag. For real.
I met an aussie over there, he was heroic. Even showed me his ass and balls. He wanted to take me drinking with him 'cos it was my 18th birthday, but we got seperated in the fields

Led Zep reunion actually taking place, in London. May go see it =D

    Agalloch.

Seriously, I haven't yet found anyone who's heard them that doesn't like them. Probably my favorite metal band right now, and definitely the best American metal band I've ever heard.

Pale Folklore FTW. Though I have to admit that Ashes Against The Grain is growing on me as well.

Agalloch truly are amazing. I was pretty surprised when I was told they were American. Really didn't expect it.
