Name another one, and I will pick your album apart like Christian logic. In fact, I'd love for you to name a "Super Cool Kawaii 2078 Viking Metal from Mars" band, because it would make it that much easier.

Apart from the fact that Primal Scream aren't a metal band, it depends on what you mean by "innovative". But I consider these pretty innovative:

Maudlin of the Well - Bath/Leaving Your Body Map
    Orphaned Land - Mabool
Neurosis - Through Silver in Blood

    Wormed - Planisphaerium
    Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris
Akercocke - Words that go Unspoken, Deeds that go Undone
Deathspell Omega - Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice (and everything they've done since then)

all qualify by my standards, and that's just off the top of my head.

They aren't a metal band (thank god). They made a dance metal record regardless.

You can't really call XTRMNTR a metal album either. A rock album yes, but the song construction and overall sound is far closer to an indy/electro album than a metal one.

That's a ridiculous statement. I can't believe someone who listens to as much music as you would believe this. Taking the piss?

Just seeing if anybody could actually properly debate my statement in this thread. It's been a circle-jerk for "kvlt" kids in this thread for far too long, it's time for alittle deliberation.

I remember a seperate generic music discussion thread, but I can't remember the metal discussion one ever being renamed or removed.

It kind of suffered from not having a lot of cross-talk. That and the metal fans seem to be most of the regulars on this particular forum.

    No idea.

I just thought this thread needed alittle sprucing up.

    No, it's Satans ball sweat.

Bundaberg, now that's closer to the truth.

    Lightning Bolt.

Metal as fuck. Seriously, how many bands can produce such a fierce sound with only bass and drums?
