Would be the gig of the year without doubt.
All I'm saying is it better not be 18+. It would be pretty fucking excellent.

Hmm I'd say it'd be pretty borderline, definitely a possibility of it being all ages....I'd prefer the Brissy date would be 18+ though, all ages gigs up here suck dick compared to 18+ ones.

Well I've not had the experience of going to an 18+ gig, so go figure.

    New Bodom track! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uefJ7dEXvog

I've yet to listen. Gotta let it load.

The best part about 18+ gigs? No scene kiddies, and it scares off most of the straight-edgers too. Bloody handy if, like me, you're a drinker stuck in the Hardline capital of Australia.

And fucked if that song doesn't sound like the worst parts of Are You Dead Yet? and Hate Crew Deathroll

This is true. Ick. It's decent, at best. Nowhere near as good as old Bodom. You can tell that they're going for a sound that will appeal to the more commercial of tastes.

Agree completely. I think I'm the only one that thinks that Something Wild is their best. Alexi's vocals were best in IneartheD though.

Janne's keys are different, it doesnt sound right.

I think it may be roughly the same key tone as on Hate Crew, it's just that everything else has the lower, thicker sound they used on Are You Dead Yet?. Hopefully something they'll sort out before the actual release.

I'm listening to Unmoored's Indefinite Soul Extension. I like it a lot.

Yea it's a nice album, a good blend of progressive stuff and death metal. Haven't listened to that album in quite a bit.

Sounds interesting. If you're into techy/prog death metal I suggest you seek out some Neglected Fields, Hieronymous Bosch and Symbyosis, I recently checked out all 3 and am really enjoying them. Theory in Practice are bad-ass in case you don't know them.

Recently discovered Hour of Penance from Italy... good lord does this band kick ass. I suggest it to anyone who like Hate Eternal, Nile, Behemoth, or a combination of the 3, but they don't sound exactly like either band.

If you like technical metal goes, if you havent heard The Faceless yet, I highly suggest you check them out. I was hooked on them for a few weeks straight.

PS - Ive been checking out your suggestions Soeru. In my opinion, I think The Faceless are better than Symbyosis as far as tech goes(thats the only band of the 3 i've heard so far). But like i said, thats my opinion, you rock the way you want to rock.

They're a solid outfit, but they need to do something about the 'core elements in their music. Either ditch them completely or go back and start integrating them fully into the songwriting. At the moment a lot of the metalcore edges just sound tacked on, like it was added more because the band felt they had to than because it was right for the song.

that may be true, but it doesnt bother me for the time being. We will see what they do with their next release whenever that comes.

Will check out the Faceless, thanks.

Anyone here like DEMILICH? Omfg I've been having some serious auditory orgasms to their only album "Nephiste", which is available for free from their website(apparently their old label fucked them over when they split up so they decided to make it free for people).

It is by far some of the most unique death metal I've heard in a really long time, and I've never heard vocals like these before. If you like Gorguts and Immolation style uniqueness you will love em. Only bands I can think of comparing to, and I still feel like it's far off.

Speaking of which, Immo's new album is pretty damn good.
