I heard Dragonforce got signed to Roadrunner, I don't think that's a good thing... Roadrunner has been doing a lot of corporate scraping lately, meaning: booting bands that don't make profitable music and forcing others to change their musical direction. Immolation are a prime example of this, notice the big difference between all of their other efforts and their last album. Deicide got the boot from Roadrunner when they made two crappy albums on purpose(because they were disatisfied with the label, but now they're on the legendary label Earache, so they're in good hands).

Just hope that RR won't have any meddling with their writing process, or we may very well end up with another Trivium.

As long as RR dont try to influence the music, it shouldnt be too bad. Of course, not many of their bands have the leverage to make that call.

We can only hope that RR leave them alone like they did Opeth.

Here's the bands just incase you can't read the logos:
    CRYPTOPSY (Century Media)
    GRAVE (Century Media)
    DEW-SCENTED (Nuclear Blast)
    ABORTED (Listenable)
VESANIA (Featuring Orion of BEHEMOTH & Daray of VADER) (Napalm Records)
    HURTLOCKER (Napalm Records)

Ok this sucks, over 18's ID required.....

Well it's on the Feb 8th so I've got plenty of time to get a fake ID

Holy shit, you're going to see Cryptopsy, Dew-Scented, and Aborted as I did. Notice how you're not getting shitty bands(though Dew-Scented are rather lame) like Despised Icon or other metalbore bands. European metal shows for the win.

    Grave and Vesania? Holy fuck.

Edit: Speaking of Orion of Behemoth, in his old band Swastyka his name was AnubiSS, so we have a national Socialist in Behemoth now.

Indeed. However the shows in the West coast and some far flung towns are good too, like the Maryland Deathfest, which is fucking huge. Like 20 death metal bands, Wormed played there this year. West coast gets bands like Disgorge, Decrepit Birth, Severed Savior, etc. The NE coast gets more variety of bands though, but it still sucks to sit through some bad metalcore bands to see the ones you like.

I am SO FUCKING GOING to Wacken 2006 next summer. Has anyone ever thought of doing this? There are organizations in many countries for people that want to go to Wacken, organized bus and plane flights and shiznit. I so totally want to do that for my summer vacation, plus I'll get to see some of Germany which I've wanted to do for a while.

For death and black metal bands, for the most part. But less br00t3l bands have more comprehensible logos. Take a look at the logo from Nargaroth or Terminally Your Aborted Ghost.

Wow, we should all like arrange and see each other there, that would be bad-ass. Perhaps some other people wish to go? I hear there's some organized things in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, England and a few other countries. I don't think there's one in the US, so I'd probably be traveling alone.

Word? I must see this... I'm more excited to hear some new Decrepit Birth material though, I read that it's supposed to be more melodic this time but all the songs are still above 214 bpm. "And Time Begins" was a great album but I don't think they really need a sequel, something a bit different might be a good idea for them.

Yea. Even Necronomicon in my sig have an undreadable logo. It's also a requirement for metal bands to worship Satan and do drugs. I mean OMG seriously. Plz dont be ignorant kthxbai...

Sacrifices have been made, thunder and lightning appear
Rejoice in hideous blasphemy, know that the time is near
The chosen hail their master well, lusting for hate and scorn
Crying out in evil ecstacy, the antichrist is born

Wacken 2006... I've thought about it. But I need to get a job/money first.
It would be quite awesome though, no doubt.
