Default Chankast and MDS file problems

I am having a problem with an ISO I downloaded for Evolution 2. It is in MDS/MDF file format and while Daemon Tools allows me to mount the MDS file all Chankast does is recognize it as an audio file. Can someone please help me get this to work. I am running Chankast Version .25 and Daemon Tools Version 3.29. Also does anyone know how to get past a part of a game where it freezes every single time ?

Hmm. I'm a starter in DC emulation but to run the game in chankast it
has to be selfboot...so make sure the one you have is selfboot.

As for the second question this may be due to emulator error (cause chankast
is still in alpha phase). You may want to try older version of emu or try different
settings. (sometimes actions made in the game cause emulator to freeze such
as using specified item or magic)...try to determine what did you do before emu
crashes and avoid doing it. I heard that next version of emu should be out in
some time but I'm not sure where it'll be so you may wait for new version which
    should have more compatibility

    That's all I can help.

Yeah, I had this same problem and it was because I didn't have a selfboot image. Use Fastboot. Hope this works. more info here
