Help with Bakushou Jinsei 64

I'm playing this ROM on the Project64 emulator. The game runs fine but the background is black sometimes. Is there something I can do to fix it? I've heard something about glide making games look better? But I don't know anything about it or how to use it. Is this something that might fix the problem? Any help would be great. Thanks.
