Crusher is it possible to install the HDloader MC from a UMCDR as the Memcard Exploid can read UMCDR format CD's without need of a swop/swap trick on none modded PS2's, I'm guessing not though if it actually needs to be installed but if all it does is copy files over to the memcard then it would be fine, if you just put the needed files on a UMCDR and made the memcard exploit copy the files needed to the memcard or HDD.

This looks reallllllllly sweet. But I don't want to open up my ps2 and take the hdd out. I'm afraid I might break something, and I dont have the money to buy a new one. Also even if i ever do try this, how do i connect the hdd externally.

Thanx a lot to DSerge for this sig.

LOL no PS2 has one to start with that I know of unless you find a special version maybe something like a linux special version or something like that, so it is possible.

You can hook up just about any PC HDD to your PS2 providing you have the extra equipment needed, the older PS2 needs a Network Adaptor to connect a HDD to the PS2 that connects on the big port in the back of it so the HDD would be inside of that version of the PS2, not sure about the newer slim model.

hmmmm. I could try this if i had another hdd. I also don't have a network adapter but i can probably get that from my friend as he has a slim ps2 now. Damn all that's holding me back now is a hdd. I have a 40 gig hdd in my comp right now but I don't want to take it out. Don't know anything about that so i'm leaving it alone.

Thanx a lot to DSerge for this sig.

You would want another HDD as the PS2 needs it to be formatted anyway

Maybe there is a way to install from a PC to PS2 network or from a USB Max Drive/Action Replay Max, but I don't have enough information to enlighten anyone as to how that works or even if that would work

You are right, there are other ways. Though I'm not sure how it's done.

About the PSX trigger disk, will a Gameshark for PSX work for a swap trick? I can boot PSX games perfectly with my Gameshark for PSX, but it won't run PS2 games (of course). Will the trigger disk, when completed, still be in PSX format, or will I need a PS2 Gameshark/Action Replay?
