Default "Dry backup battery" in VBA

I was trying to play Pokemon Emerald, but I got an in-game error message saying that the internal battery is dry and that no time-based events would work. I tried turning on the Real Time Clock and changing the save type and nothing worked. I also tried both with and without the patch file. I'm using 1.8 beta.

Is there any way to fix this problem.

"The game battery run dry, the game can be played
However clock based event will no longer occur."
Something like this. I have the same problem and couldn't solve it.
I heard there are some patches made just for this but couldn't find them either

With mine I just changed to real time Clock and it started to work just fine....Maybe it is the rom you have that is the problem. Before I change the Real Time Clock though it was giving me the same message.

Go to Options-emulator-and click real time clock. It should fix it.
