Okay now, PAY ATTENTION! Typically ePSXe uses BIN and CUE files, so for instance a PSX game rip will have 2 files which look like this:

    Street Fighter Alpha 3.bin
    Street Fighter Alpha 3.cue

You don't need the cue sheet if you are just going to run the game on the emulator, just use the RUN ISO option with ePSXe and load the BIN file, but if you are going to burn the game to a cd-rom, or attempt to mount the image using Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% you will definitely need that cue sheet.

your epsxe will run more kind of image files like .iso,.bin maybe others if you want to get a burned game runing in your comp just configure your cd rom plugin ,in my case it has the option to choose wich drive is the one thatll read the cds for playing them in your emulator ,in my case i have 2 drives so i always select the f: drive to play my cds,if you want just to run your image files like bin and iso just click file>run iso then just browse your computer for the file and youll start playing it,if you have problems like the sound on fmvs not listening just go to your sound plugin and check all the checkboxes after that the sound will be fine,if you have problems with the speed of the game like runing to fast and all that go to the video plugin and click the button at the bottom of the page that says nice the label of that part is default settings then behing it its the option i mentioned and other that says fast, after that everything should be fine ,you may need especific configuration to run some kind of games so if you need help just post so that the experts here can help you.

In the video plugin configuration, checkmark the "Use FPS limit" option and set the FPS limit to 60 for USA games, and 50 for European games. For the sound, go to the sound plugin configuration and checkmark "Enable XA playing" and "Change XA speed".

i think i already posted the solutions to your problems in my other post ,regarding the fmv and the screen staying black i think its your iso,it hapens sometimes with some games you may need special configuration to play it

...or need other version of emulator cause some games
works better on ePSXe 1.6.0 and other on ePSXe 1.5.2.

Some of games need also to add some parameters to the emu
shortcut to run the game properly.
Check out ePSXe Configuration Handbook for list of parameters.

The best way to start with "P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.16".
I use it for most of my games and it works fine.

As marcos_20 posted above, the handbook by fireblaster has quite nice thing about recommended plug-ins and their settings. Shortly: Try Pete's D3D, Pete's OpenGL and Peops soft plug-ins for graphics.
    Have you seen me before?

One more problem...well its not really a problem but more of a question.. in some of my games (iso's and original psx disc) some of the sounds such as music or certain sound effects dont work is this because of the plugins im usin or is it some thing else

Yes. It is the plugin you are using.
Look thru my guide (I know its messy) and find the answer.

If not, post your problem here.
