    Default Neko Project II

    Does anyone happen to know how the Neko Project II emulator works? I can't figure it out for the life of me. If I want to play, say, Farland Story, how would I go about doing so?

    And thats the easy one to use

    okies first you not only need the emulator but you also need the font file, you can put the font file in a seperate folder let call it font LOL

    Just get the font from Zophars domain, the one listed as Japanese Font for the anex86 will do just fine.

    Once you have the font file run NP2 and click on emulate then Font... and select the font file you just downloaded and put in the font folder

    Next click screen then Screen option... and click the Chip tab and make sure it's set to uPD7220 - GRCG+ and Enable 16color

    Now all that is set click on HardDisk then SASI-1 and Open and select the extracted hdi file

    Now Click
    Emulate then Reset

    **For Farland Story 1 only
    To view the intro, aswell as having set SASI-1 you need to set the fdi to FDD-1

    Also for the main game after it has loaded it also needs that fdi aswell

    P.S. the games are mouse games so once it start click on your middle mouse button for it to be used by the emu, the same middle click is used to release the mouse from the emu aswell

    So.. unbeleivably..complicated @.@; I'll give it a shot, though. Thank you

    EDIT: I can't find that font thing. I'm currently searching around Zophar's Domain, but I don't see it anywhere. I don't even have a clue where to start looking. I don't see anything about anex68 or neko project II at all

    I found it right before you posted that. *sweatdrops* I'm sorry about that. Anyhoo, I've got it working now. Thank you so much. To play the other games, will I have to do that complicated setup thing again? If so, I'll just copy your instructions and paste them into wordpad so I won't lose them. Now I just have to get all the other Farland games.. I only have Farland Story 5 so far ^.^;;

    Floppy?

    All I did was follow instructions as you said here, also tried the Anexwhatever emulator, same idea, no response from any kind of controls. =(

    fdi = floppy disk image

    so when you want to play the main game start without the fdi and when you are propted then use the fdi

    got it working now?

    I think that "anex86" is a lot easier to use and configure
    maybe you should try this emu instead

    (oh yes floppy is the .fdi file and hard disk is the .hdi file if I remember correctly)

    Edit: You were faster Zorlon

    I sorta understand what you guys are saying , still no luck, here is what I did:

    Try #1: Ran Neko II --> FDD1 -->Open-->Farland Intro Boot Disk .fdi
    Also nothing under HardDisk .

    Message I got was " Disk A Needed , left click when ready"

    TRY #2: I tried loading HDI file without the FDI one and nothing happens.

    When I load both files , plays the intro, no response whatsoever.

    Also tried loading just the HDI file with Anex and took me to an A:\ command promt.

    sigh......

    after you do that goto emulate then reset

    you will then get the message Disk A Needed

    why you done Try #1 I don't know at all, and how you got the message that you got is impossible if you done what you said you done :/
