the Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v2.0.Xbox-Hq is (as far as I can tell) the newest/best there is.

If you were talkin to me uh, yeah I did that but when I looked at the readme.txt I saw this
3. Insert MechAssault and turn your Xbox on. When you're at the main menu of the game,
select "Campaign" and then highlight "Run Linux". The information below should be
shown when highlighing this, if so press A to boot the Installer. If not, your version
of MechAssult is too new (the exploit was patched in later releases).

I had the newer version of the original MechAssult so it didnt work. Thats why I got splinter Cell today

Do you install the evox to the c drive or e drive?

in c:,sorry that i didnt quote you but yes i was talking .... writing to you ,i assumed that you didnt find the xploit for your mechassault so thats why i told you that again,i didnt know that you had the newer version,in anycase ive seen some cases about people that have the newer version (platinum one) of mechassault and it worked,did you try to get the xploit running with that newer version of mechassault?if you didnt i recomend you to try it,if oyu want to know if your game is going to work with the xploit check the numbers in the lower part of the cd,it looks like a code its in the ring of the cd where the holograms of xbox are,put the cd into the light that way its much easier to see the code,at the ending of the code if you have L1 or 1L i think youre ok to use it,but if you have 8m or m8 at the ending of the code it wont work,in my case i chose splinter cell because it seems much easier to find a working one for this kind of things.

edit:those ending parts of the code are only for the mechassault, i dont know for the others.

I traded MechAssault in for Splinter Cell and I got it up and going, your tutorial and the one with Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v2.0.Xbox-Hq really helps.

One more question tho, where can I get skins for evox?

You can download evox autoinstaller,it has many useful aplications,or you can just get the skins from it and transfer them through ftp

edit:Be careful with the autoinstaller since if you click in the option to install everything, (apps and evox i think it is) youll not be able to use the ms dash until you format your xbox to retail again

please do, if possible maybe send me a PM when it is done cause i recently found some usb ports i can use and i realy wanna stick some ports on my xbox. I have read through the ones on xbox scene but i just wanna read more about it before i do it

That would be great,also if you know how to change the hd of the xbox could you make another tutorial for that? im such a noob at that and im planing to upgrade my xbox�s hd to a 200gb one or something bigger than my 7 gb hd,BTW jewelz1132 i found this web for all your skin needs check it out it has plenty of them http://www.xbox-skins.net/

Im not sure how to upgrade a HDD using softmods. On a side note, i started to do the mod with USB ports

uh..how would I get the games on the xbox. I tried burning an iso(I really dont know how to tho) wit a cdr and the file was in my dvd2xbox folder but I couldnt play. Does anybody know how or if you can burn games with a cdr and get them to work. (my xbox does read cdrs)
