An FPS with armies...? I'd assume he's talking about the RTS.

I don't play it, since my computer can't handle it. There are a number of Emuparadisians who do, though. Pienne, Deach and nek_, at least.

I actually just finished playing a 3v3 game of Warhammer 40000 - Dawn of War. If, in fact, that is the one you are talking about. There are numerous Warhammer games though; RTS, FPS even tabletop. However, DoW is fairly new, so I hope you are talking about that. Stop by the irc channel if you want to play sometime.

I'm badass with Space Marines, and fairly decent with Eldar.

Edit; There was no typo. It was all an illusion.

I haven't played in quite some time, but I have a fully functional Tau army of about 2000 pts. Good times.

I played against tau using a khorne berserker army. i was whipped except my chaos lord makilbur but he's hard as nails it took loads of shots from a twin linked rail gun aided by a bright marker? i think that's right. so what's the dumbest thing you've done in a game?

Twin-Linked Railgun with markerlight. Hits on a 2+. Very nice. I think the stupidest thing I've ever done was when I played against one guy who played as Orks. I just took my standard "Tau Firing Line of Death" stance, and waited for them to hit 30 inches distance, and then proceeded to mow them down... I killed every single piece of Orkish scum on the field... except for his Warboss, which then proceeded to get into combat with one end of the firing line, and killed 2 hammerheads, 4 units of fire warriors, and 2 Broadsides before I managed to take him down. Stupid Orks.

that's happened what happened when i played tau with the khorne berserkers, if by firing line of defence you mean lining them up really close along the opposite side. My berserkers got shot down even my daemons but my khorne lord laughed as the previously mentioned railgun bounced off of him (no exagereation it didn't scratch him) until he got into Close combat after cutting through a few squads he was left in the open where he was shot and instantly killed by that evil rail gun i won on victory points though. he he he.

The dumbest thing i did was with a squad of my terminators my opponent parked a rhino in front of them and they had to get through it as it was the only way to complete the objective anyway i powerfisted the tank and only one out of five was left standing. it was when i first started though.

    BTW thank's for replying.

I havent played in a few months, but have some tau and dark eldar. Thinking on it now though i really wish i had an ork army. I just dont take it serious enough to play anything else, and i love all the options. As some folks mentioned you need to scope out warhammer dawn of war for PC. Its a fast paces RTS that really does the game justice. Though throw the slow chess like patience out the window, it gets really intense. Reminds me i need to buy that havent played since the beta of it.

I kinda stepped away from 40k to tryout warmachine. I really really enjoy it, but havent been to the hobby store in awhile to play. Its a smaller game more skirmish based, but has a lot style to it. Not as customizable as 40k but you have more options once the battle begins. You have big steam mechs called jacks that can slam and throw smaller models across the field Its kinda a fantasy steampunk sorta think. Give it a look.
