Why Can't I Download???

For some reason I can't download any isos from Emuparadise.org anymore! It used to work fine, I would just click on the links with IE, no problemo. Now no matter what I do it just sends me to the "error" page... I've tried DAP & FlashGet and they're the same, they all act like there's no actual links there.

I don't think anything about my computer or its settings had changed which would affect my downloading... Does anyone have any idea what might cause this?

i have that problem occasionally, it goes away after 10 mins for me, though.

What are you trying to download?
Maybe the link is broken.

And by the way, only 1 connection allowed. That might give a few errors if you're trying to download a few things at the same time.

For me the problem does not go away, it's been going on for at least a month, maybe two, to the point where I gave up on Emuparadise as a source of anything, but if this is any way fixable that would be groovy...

I'm trying to download PS1 and PS2 isos... And yes I'm only doing one download at a time. It happens with any iso I try so it's not just a broken link.

Like I said it used to work fine, it just suddenly changed, no idea why...

yeah im getting a similar problem when i try to download any of the good set rom sets. ive tried all of them but they all come up with page cannot be found. i had been able to get 2 of the sets a couple days ago, but ever since i cant get any of the links there to work.

could it be that these arent working or the server is just overloaded?

The server is pretty much overloaded. I'll see if I can increase the limit a bit for you people

Hrm, Maybe this is a good place to mention this...

I was trying to get CuteFTP to work (since apparently it is necessary to download PS2 isos?) & I think the Emuparadise "How to use CuteFTP" FAQ is out of date, it seems to refer to an earlier version. There are significant differences in the new version that make that FAQ a bit worthless I think. Also the CuteFTP dl link on that page definitely does not work....

Just thought someone might wanna know...

Yeah, the cuteFTP tutorial IS a bit rusty nowadays. Somebody should do something about it. I suggest you stick with DAP. Its worked fine for me all this time and is really simple.
Oh, MasJ, in case you read this, i think there might be something wrong with the ffv link in the iso section. It sends me to a server IP adress that is different from the IP adress of the other ISO's. Aren't they supposed to be all in one server? Just thought you should know.

What limit? MasJ was talking about the limit that maximum of 250 connections are allowed to the FTP server in total.

man i must be having bad luck or the same 250 must be connected all the time lol

ive been trying for a few days now and i still cant get one link for the goodsets to work.

is there a better time of the week or day that i should try to dl? the server must be overloaded constantly lol.

It is, try in the middle of night, or early in the morning some time... less people then i would supose.

I have just downloaded one of the Final Fantasy 9 parts and I can't seem to run it. When I click on it, it comes up with the "Open with..." screen. What program do I need in order to open it? How would I use it?

You'll need WinRar to open it. Get it from www.rarlabs.com.
And after that simply doubleclick on the file to open it with WinRar.
