If you missed the point, watcher, then why post?
The point is that you can access the debug menu and piss about with a coke machine (cool/geek factor), I expect there are easier ways to get free coke if your that sad.

Actually, from what I read at the posted link, it doesn't seem possible to use this method to get the machine to dispense free beverage. Perhaps if you had read the article you would have seen that. I'm not even sure if this could be considered hacking. Possibly mild bewitchery, but not hacking. The camera one seems to use an interface designed for the camera that, unfortunately for the owner, appears on a public webpage. The Coca-Cola machine one only brings up a debug menu that can be used by the owner to view sale information.

I got "free" cokes from the 2 vending machines at school today.
Well they aren't free, but they cost a nickel, that was the lowest I could bring them.

It's not any of the vending machines the article talked about.
When you do the 4231 trick, it brings up a list to see how much sales per slot the machine did. If you scroll down to the bottom of the list, there is "MAIN" where you can change the setup stuff, like modifying the price of each item, and other stuff i wasn't sure what it was doing.
Oh, and to scroll you need to use 1 and 2, to accept 3, and cancel/exit is 5. The number 4 does nothing apparently. The machine is relatively old, and not even coca-cola (well i think). The plastic in the front shows a classroom door, with a yellowish brick wall.

I'll try to get more info on the machine monday. (and maybe take pics)
I was surprised it was working, and a bit nervous seeing how the machine wouldn't exit even if i was hitting the return button.
To lower the $ needed to buy a drink (usually 1$ ), it shows you something like "01.00$". If you hit accept 1 time, then press down, then accept 2 times, then press up 5 times, accept, it will be a nickel. I tried with 00.00$ and the thing flashed a few times, and i was on the same screen. I tried with only a penny and it did the same thing.

It was kinda funny to see my friends face too. XD They all asked me how to do it obviously.
