Meth, I hate you because you pay for software.
Tacos, I hate you because I want a Mac and you have one.

Yeah I found a bit of free software that I have to try out. Not just a bit, either. Lots. More than I'll ever need, actually.

I used to use their freeware version of HandyHTML, but it was discontinued and I really wanted to update to the Studio version. So I purchased a license and went from there. =P I'm sorry for not being greedy.

If you're looking for a good freeware text-editor, one of the guys over at http://www.fusionphp.net (the same guys who made fusionPHP News Management System) made a very good coding program. You can find it in their forums.

    Hehe..

OSX10.3. But seriously, it's an older mac, a G3 B/W tower. 400mhz power PC processor w/512mb of ram. Runs like a beast though, considering the speed.

Yeah, I heard that RISC processors run faster than what their mhz rate them at.

FusionPHP is actually very good. It has a inbuilt browser. Sucks that it's IE based. I just finished fixing up my syntax highlighting colors. Oshi~! It has an FTP browser built in too! This should be perfect.

    Araneae, thanks to Iddi.
And now I use StyleStudio. Stylesheets are a breeze with this new utility. I can make a decent page with this thing and be happy with it. If you use CSS on your own works, I think you should definitely check this out. It's not free, but it could be.

I use notepad and the code editor in Dreamweaver MX 2004.

I don't code by hand too much unless it's just to quickly fix something or to mess with variables etc.

I mostly just use Dreamweaver's power these days
So I make games now sort of. Check the out the one I have in the IGF this year, its totally free: www.mackvswindows.com

I've tried about everything on the market at least once and I must say the BEST out there is MAX's HTML Beauty++ 2004.. a freeware program developed by Marko Njezic. Just google the program name to find it.

it gets really difficult the more complex you make it. Try doing layers by hand, not fun eh?

ha, but it's good to start off the hard way, that way later if something messes up you can figure it out yourself.
