I've had bad luck with this. Got tired of dealing with it and just used my laptop.

Err...this may sound stupid, but do most ppcs actually only have 4 buttons? How do you control Snes games that orginally use all six buttons then?
Its a bit more difficult, my PPC has 8 buttons on the face of it, but its not entirely ergonomic to play, say, a fighting game or whatever. For basic platformers, RPG's and whatnot its just fine, however.
Touch my twat.
I can't wait for them to fix the problems with 2003se
slightly offtopic: is there a sega cd emulator available yet?
sega cd emulator for pocket pc or just in general? last I checked gens could run sega cd games (but you needed the bios if I remember correctly). If you were talking about a pocket pc segacd emulator you've got me beat. sorry if I can't be of more help
hmm so the ps1 emulator on ppc actually works well ? i couldn't belive it when i saw it online cause the ppcs have such low cpus ,might be a reason to get one
PPCs suck for controls... the best thing for handheld emulation is the Tapwave Zodiac (Palm OS) atm and speed is on the low side... I can't believe nobody has been smart enough to release a similar product running Windows CE....
I'd love to see a PPC with analogue pad and proper fire buttons
i have really good vacations last summer. i have ASUS A620+1gb CF-card. as i know psx ppc emulator is compiled 4 asus. i had not any troubles with controls on it. i dont play takken(but like it) , but play GTA , FF, breath o fire IV,GT, ... . PPC has weakpoint like all portable devices it is battery. i can play only 1 day without charging. on a beach ppc is more suitable than laptop i think
you must be jocking: zodiac is a worthless piece of sh1t...how can one expect to have any decent multimedia app under pos???Originally Posted by Flipao
Fpse ce works great on any 400mhz ppc (better overclocked i admit). It's true that game speed isn't always that great, but the emulator gets updated very often, and the 0.10 version (that should come quite soon) is said to be nearly twice faster than actual release! Anyway, fpsece is great with rpg and resident evil style games (i ran dino crisis 2 at close to full speed, ff7 is 2/3 full speed etc).
About controls: fpse gives you the option to map the buttons onscreen (they don't appear in game, just press the screen), so you can play on landscape mode using the ppc padle and pressing the screen for buttons. I admit it's not that great for action games, but it's good enough most of the time. And about ppc "padles": asus models have very good ones. Still, as many do, I wish the ppc had better buttons layout
With a ppc: c64, mame, atari/amiga, nintendo, sega, nec and psx, all in your pocket.
