Everytime i try to save game it gives me save error and says please exchange backup memory. Anyone else have this problem with pokemon fire red and found a solution to it?

Go to Options, Emulator, Save Type.
Make sure Automatic and 128k are checked. See if that helps you.

That doesnt work, when i start game it says 1m-circuit board is missing. This could also be why i cant save game too.
