I'm watching Samurai Pizza Cats- Hilarious anime. Very cute too.
I remembered watching it in the 90's and it's still funny.

It's been quite a while since I've watched any anime, since IMO most of it's junk (read: I don't like slap-stick anime, which it seems 90% of anime falls in this category).

Anyway, a really good friend of mine gave me a Bluray box set of Black Lagoon for Christmas (and he knows my qualms with anime), and after sitting through the first 5 episodes, I can say that I am pleasantly surprised and have a bit of a renewed interest in the format. It's bloody, lots of dirty words, and about a band of mercenaries/modern day pirates taking odd jobs to make a living. Kinda reminded me of Cowboy Bebop, only without space ships.

If you're looking for darker anime, then you might want to check this out.

    Yikes....for real?

See: Groucho, Buster, Benny Hill, Vaudeville, etc..etc...

As for anime, recently grabbed a few random dvds at the fleas, so I'll be giving those a go with an open mind.
('Bleach', 'Bebop Cowboy', and another that I wont be bothering with.)

What's the third one? You've made me curious now.

Bebop is definitely worthy of your attention, good purchase. Bleach... not so much. But give it a chance, you'll see for yourself eventually.

I have heard good things about both, and they seem to have 'elements' of sci fi/fantasy that I enjoy, so.... (Based on the little pictures on the dvd case, heh)

As for the third, it looks like something I wouldnt give a rat's ass about....called 'Hack//Slash' or similar...

Bleach is one of those popular shounen (aimed at young teenagers) anime alongside stuff like Naruto and One Piece. It also has 300+ episodes. I also gave it chance but got bored after 15 or so episodes.
