    Question Like a virgin..

    Hello,

I'm kinda new to this whole emu-thing, so I really hope some more experienced user could give a answer this (supposedly simple) Q:

If I download ChronoCross CD1 (PSone), I get a collection of RAR files. If I extract those, 3 files appear: a .CCD, a .IMG an a .SUB.

Well, my AdriPSX emulator reads none of those correctly, so I was wondering what kind of conversion is needed, to turn this into something 'readable'(ISO).

    Thanks in advance!

You can burn the game on CD or open them in a virtual drive like deamon tools.

    quit using AdriPSX.
Use ePSXe, that PSX emulator is able to read .IMG files, so prob solved.
    Mount things isn't needed.

During the day, I also tried ChronoCross with ePSXe and got it working, but the problem which made me decide not to go with ePSXe in general arose, again: I don't seem to be able to controll anything.

I got the latest DirectX, I tried F4-during-gameplay, I tried everything that has to do with pad config., and still I'm not seeing any response to the button pushing going on.

I didn't got this problem with adriPSX, and it seems to me it's a typical thing with ePSXe: probably me being the newby

Any help with this problem would be very welcome!

You're usiong those plugins for both AdriPSX and ePSXe.
If not try the same plugin.
    If so it's pretty weird

I erased the configuration registry, and got things working...for one minute:
When I got to select 'new / load game', and selected new, ePSXe crashed
and it keeps on doing this

I did; I doesn't makes a difference; the game still crahes at the point of selecting a save/new game. What is the actual file being played? the .IMG, I thought: Maybe needs to be in a certain conjunction with the .CCD and .BIN?

well the ccd files have nothing to do with it.
ccd files are for clonecd, they tell the program how to burn it and such.
Since you still have probs, mount the .img to a .bin with deamon tools or something else. And play it with AdriPSX.
Very weird prob you got yhere though

Are you playing with a controller?
    If you are...
I'd say map your keys to the keyboard, and use JoyToKey to make your controller work.
JoyToKey is a little, free, lightweight software that "converts" pad inputs to keyboard inputs. This way, you can use your pad in any game that doesn't support it.

    If not....I dunno
