    Default Pistons/Pacers game

Basketball fans, did anyone else just see that? Ron Artest attacked a fan for throwing a beer at him, and all chaos just broke loose on the court. Good lord, that was insane. Please Discuss.

Well, it's combination of intoxication and assholiness of the fans.

    Holy shit. That is insane.

I don't care if he did throw a beer, the players who hit the fan should be fired.

I am embarrased to be from Indiana right now

Actually, I disagree with you Sprung. I myself play Basketball and your head can get really hot while playing, having a beer can thrown at you.. ahem.. that could have some serious consequences. I don't think the fault likes as much with the players as with the management for serving alcohol at the event.

Eh...there is alcohol at every major sporting event held here. Alcohol isn't the problem here, as the player wasn't drunk. The fan may have been, but to watch the video, I don't think he was. The problem was the player thought "You can't do that to me, I am *so and so*, and I am famous", and proceeded to kick the fan's ass. Then the gang mentality kicked in, and some other players decided to do a few drive bys as well. An older man was beaten, and another fan was blasted in the mouth on the court. Did he belong there? No. Was he trying to help, or get in a cheap shot? Who knows. Did an NBA sanctioned player chuck him in the mouth? Yup. What the NBA needs to do is deflate the egos of a few players and bring them back to the real world.

I agree about the NBA needing to keep some egos in check... but MasJ raises a good point. This is such bullshit.... such minor things, escalate so much. Which makes the world we live in such a miserable place today (when on a larger scale). Thanks, retards.

I'd make it so that players would be banned from the NBA for that, and for the fan, they face penalties (as fas as the NBA can get) and charges. I'm sure there could be something the NBA can do.... God knows they have enough money for lawyers.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..

    For the fan: Assault
For the players: Assault and Battery

That's fine. Great in fact. The plan is to make the penalties so harsh, that they wouldn't dare do such a thing. Think of the mess this has caused. Make sure the NBA never deals with those things again either.... if the beer bottle missed, that will pass in a day, but assault and battery won't. By automatically severing all ties with the player, and never allowing him to play in the NBA again, he wouldn't do anything physical to a fan (even if it would have been in retaliation). Winnar~

Didn't Rodman get sued that time he kicked the camera man and suspended. This should happen to him.

I agree with Ultimate X. The fans should not have been involved.

Here is a video of the brawl if you haven't seen it.

I heard about a player who used to play for the Lakers hit another player on the some other team, and broke his jaw. The NBA fined him and banned him from playing.
