Default Help! The Legendary Thousand Arms Elevator Error!

At the moment I am on Disc 2, just before an elevator on the 'Death Crimson'. Each time I choose to enter the elevator, the game freezes. Can someone help me.

I am using EPSXE with the following plugins

    Eternal SPU Version 1.41

    Pete's GPU Version 1.75 - D3D DX6 option. (Operating under 'Nice' settings)

Running under Windows Xp Service Pack 2.

I'll see if I can dig up some more info. I'm doing it from memory at the moment.

change the sound plugin to "Eternal SPU Plugin 1.20" and mark all the 4 options.
i think that it will fix the problem (Maybe)

Sorry, that doesn't seem to work.

    Does anyone else have suggestions?

Just a thought but have you considered a different Emulator? or if you are using epsxe 1.60 use the other one (i'm not too sure of the number)

Edit: just searched the forums and a lot of people have similar "freezing" problems. I'm thinking that it could be a graphics issue, would it be possible for you to list your graphics plug-ins please?

The "other" good version is 1.52.
Yeah, knowing what your using for you gfx would help.

One thought may be fiddling around with the special game fixes(i supplied a snapshot) perhaps selecting the every second fram may get you past that initial freeze and you could change it back when you get past the elevator.
    Just a thought

well i would recommend perhaps trying CVGS. it gives better results than EPSXE sometimes....
and for skipping every second frame. well that wouldent really help since it will still hit whatever problem thats making the game freeze
    Even the paranoid has enemies
