Default Problems for burning a game (Resident evil Pal and Ntsc)

    For Shibito:

It appears that Resident evil for the psx does not work with a modded ps2 (Ripper Mod-chip) This applies for both the pal and ntsc version, the game has been burned in nero and in alcohol. Can anyone help?

Does it work in ePSXe after you burn it? There could also be some form of copy protection preventing the copying. Look for a patch.

Resident Evil does not have protection on any version of the first one

Do any other CDR PSone games work in his PS2

I tried burning it with Nero and with Alcohol as well. The strange thing is that the same thing happens with NTSC version as well. So I think the fault is on my side. I have modified PAL PS2. (Ripper mod-chip) Either there is some sort of protection or I'm unable to burn it properly. (I didn't have any problems with other PS1 games so far).

there's no probs with other ps1 games

Shibito not a member yet or just can't get online?

Anyway at the mo I realy can't think of anything helpfull for this, I thought it might just be that Shibito's PS2 Chip might not work with PSone CDR Games, as I have seen other chiped PS2's do the same, work with original PSone Games but not with PSone backups.

If I think of something I will post it though.

He's new (2 posts)and it didn't look if he was going to ask in the emulation section so I put the question here. it tends to get better answers here.

    Hi everyone,

I didn't have any problems running burned or original PS1 games so far. I have FF8, FF9, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Silent Hill...etc. All of these games are backups and all of them are working. But I managed to running it on ePSXe even with sound (Resident Evil). As the theotheimpaler suggested I had some options unticked in the sound pluggin. Thanks to all of you.
