Default Didn't see that one coming. TGS MGS3 Trailer

Probably the best trailer so far and most likely the last one before the game is released. The official Japanese release date is 16th December and you people in the States most likely will get the game sometime in November. The PAL release date is still unknown, but it most likely will be released sometime Q1 2005.

    The highlights of this trailer:

    * The Bosses are finally unveiled. Pretty cool bunch. Especially The Fury.
    * The Shagohod IS the "Metal Gear's" name. And we also get to see it's "walking mode" instead of just "driving mode".
    * Eva in bikini crawling. Nice.
    * Johnny Sasaki's father. His name is also Johnny.
    * Snake getting hurt in all kinds of ways. I think you got to see small parts of him loosing his eye.

The Fury is a real boss? Does that mean that the casting call email thing wasn't a hoax, and I actually know a vast quantity of the plotline by accident because I thought I was reading some nerd's fanfic?

Can't be arsed downloading the video, mind.

Yup that sounds just about right. Keep in mind though, that Hideo Kojima is no idiot. Afterall he could keep Raiden hidden from the whole world. So some of that apparently leaked stuff is probably leaked on purpose. Not sure though. We'll see later.

Yeah, the email reeked of a hoax to me... I heard they didn't even tell Raiden's voice actor about the importance of his role in MGS2 until he'd been working on it for a couple of days, so I don't see why those auditioning for roles in MGS3 would be given huge backgrounds about their characters, including their death scenes in pivotal moments of the plot... There's definitely something more to it than a clerk somewhere along the line going "OOPSIMREALLYBADATMYJOB."

Exactly! I guess we won't find out until we get our hands on the game, eh? Oh and Hideo Kojima did say that just about 10 minutes into the game a big scale suprise on par with Raiden will take place. Nice stuff.

For you who are intrested in more MGS3 goodies, check this stream from gamespot. > click!
Shows some pretty awesome motion capture and then how the scenes are in the game. You'll see that it's actually some pretty awesome guy who is doing all that gun slinging Ocelot is doing! :O!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that! MGS3 will have a unlockable mini game were you have to catch Ape Escape monkeys. Awesome!

Konami announced that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will have a new "Monkey & Snake" game mode in which Solid Snake will battle the monkeys from Sony's Sarugetchu / Ape Escape. In this game mode Snake receives a request from the radio, commanding him to capture all the monkeys in the stage.

Kojima also mentioned at TGS that he is a big fan of Sarugetchu (Ape Escape). The reason to put the monkeys in the game is because Konami has Sony have reached an agreement so that Solid Snake can show up in the next Sarugetchu game, and in return the monkeys will appear in Metal Gear Solid 3 as well.
Nice. Snake in the next Ape Escape game.

Ok, that monkey thing just secured my purchase of MGS3.
    What a cool quirk.

I think Gamespot got some gameplay movies showing Snake on a monkey hunt. Maybe you should check it out?

Apparently someone related to Raiden. Not 100% confirmed though.

Jesus tap-dancing christ, that trailer was kick-ass. However, I saw it shortly after seeing the trailer for Berserk, so I was already hyper when I saw it. This game is one I'll definately buy, apart from Berserk.

Why yes it was very awesome. I've watched it three times today.

Everyone should buy this game! Spread the hype! I'll probably import it AND buy a modded or a US PS2 just for this game (and Xenosaga). Go me!

    Trailer cool? Awesome I'd say!

And yeah, SDP is nifty. I searched many hours for a program that would let me get the MGS3 E3 trailer. And well, those hours paid off in the end.
