WOW playing games at 1-2 Frames a second would be cool, it would take you about 2-3 hours to get past the intro screen in FFX. HeHe. Hope they get the frames better, then i would be the ultimate bum.

Yes the emulator is slow - yes the speed will increase (even on modern hardware) but it's not gonna increase by much. PS2 = More complex than GC to emulate... and we'll you've seen how 'slow' the GC emulation is at the moment.

yes. i think the point is is that as computers get faster, it looks like there's an emulator that can support the seemingly good emulation that is now present. now if only someone would get to work on the Cray port

Seriously though, the fact this emulator shows the graphics (seemingly perfect) and can boot the games means a large part of it has been done. Now they've got CPU speed improvements to make - not gonna be easy. Heck look at Saturn emulation as a pointer - and the Saturn ain't even close to the PS2 in tech spec.

i'd say that the general accuracy of pcsx2 is higher that that of most saturn emus. i'm also predicting that within a year or two, top-end pcs will be able to play saturn games on the current emulators, even if all development of emulators stops dead (which it seems is the case)

if your talking about a sega saturn, i think that their is already a working emulator for that awhile ago.

Yeah, but it's not perfect by any means, and I think that's what he was on about. He's suggesting that if Saturn emulation has hardly made any great strides over the years, that it's reasonable to believe that the PS2, which is likely just as hard to emulate, won't be in a reasonably playable state anytime soon.

Yeah, he was just posting new pics. The conversation to follow has mimicked the other thread, which was indeed closed. However, as I said, Del_Boy would've closed this one already if that were a problem.
