    Default Zsnes netplay tournament suggestion

Ok I made this topic a few days ago and its gone now so im going to make a new one.Alright in some site I went too about a year or 2 ago they had some kind of Zsnes netplay tournament where you signed up and after the due date to sign up they set you up in matches and you had to contact that person you had to go against by email or something. After that match you had to post who won and who lost. After they got everybodys records then the winners would go against another person.Eventually there would be the championship match and then the winner.I think it would be a great idea if we did this in this forum.Like every month or something. And it would be a different game each time.So what does everybody think of this. Please tell me your opinions everybody.

Well, what games would we play, it sounds like a kick ass idea, but I don't know if it would work out. How many games are there that you can have a tournament in on SNES. I mean the system only allows 2 players usually anyway. I guess it would take pretty long. But I'm in anyway. :smirkyell

The way I have it in my head is that the webmaster or something would make a picture with brackets and all the players particpating in it.Alot of you would know what i mean by like saying a pictuer with our names in these brackets and these would determine who we went against and who would we go against in a later round after other people played against others.Somebody tell me if they dont understand and ill try to give a good example.

If this does go through there might have to be a limit or something, but we should just wait before we get there.

Ha, what a coincidence. I've been working on the exact same thing for awhile now. Can't tell you much about it but as apart of Emuparadise' new project, we are gonna try and do the same thing. About once a month, brackets for tournament, anyone who wants to do it but the tournie is limited to a certain number, set up times for each match based on time differences, and the winner gets a prize. The only difference in our ideas is that mine involves a tournament between the staff members and the visitors. About 8 on each side and then the finals is between the victorious staff member and the victorious visitor for supremecy. But lets not limit it to ZSNES. There are other platforms on which we can conduct these but I think we will start there.:smirkyell

Great idea! Why don't we have a beat em 'up torunament? I suggest Killer Instinct or maybe DBZ Hyper Dimension.

Yeah, that would be fun. Magus, the only thing that I've seen so far with multiplayer on the web is ZSNES. What others are there? You know what might be cool, if we all played an rpg game over the web, like, three people at a time played on file and they had a certain amount of time each night to play. Then the first person to beat the game wins. That would be pretty cool. Or else some fighting games. Mario Kart anyone? lol
