Default OK to upload as .MDF .MDS?

I just wanted to ask whether it'd be OK to upload some PS games in .MDF .MDS format?

I noticed that Fatal Fury Dominated Mind was in this format, that's great for those of us lucky enough to have chipped Playstation but not so good for those using ePSXe.

I only ask because the majority of PS games come as either .bin or .img

    Thanks for your time

I made this mistake as well when i uploaded populous, personally I had no problem playing in mdf format but anyone who has trouble with this there are a few ways to convert mdf to iso/bin by using isobuster or alcohol 120%

Possibly, to change the mdf file i put the mds file into the daemon tools and used alcohol 120% to make an iso/bin file i suppose you could do it if you put the ccd, sub and img in the same folder then put the ccd file in the daemon tools and use alcohol 120% to make it, if you have trouble i could put it in greater detail.

With Alcohol 120% You can Make Mdf, Ccd, Iso and bin files

To Russian Spy you can convert ccd files using Daemon tools and Alcohol 120%. You need to mount the ccd file onto the daemon tools then with alcohol 120% create an image from your E drive or whatever your virtual drive is, but with ccd files you can only make mdf or cdrwin files(bin)

To Richardstone I think Mdf files can be changed into ccd, Iso and bin files

    Hope This Helps

(Someone should make a guide about general mounting and iso making)

I am actually had that idea a while back. I was going to make the guide when I had time to do it which hasn't been much since I have started school and marching band competition.

CCD can be played in ePSXe along with bin/cue, .iso, and nrg. To play mdf you can either d/l ISOBuster and open the mdf/mds then extract a bin/cue from it. You can also mount it in Daemon's Tools which is a virtual CD drive program.

Actually its the .img file that you can load, but that is part of a CloneCD image just like the ccd is. The ccd is kinda like a cue sheet for the .img file. Just load the .img into ePSXe. If you don't have that file then you don't have an iso as the .img contains all the data just like a .bin.

why even bother to make a regular iso, when you can play directly from daemon tools as a CD.

I don't think i answered this the way you asked the question to start with, the question being is it ok to post mdf games. I don't think it will be too much of a problem because there are many ways to convert isos, so if some people don't like mdf files, they don't have to download them or if they got an mdf file without realising it, then they can change it.
