    Default mouse freezing?

sorry guys, this is like my 5th problem posted here in like a month, but anyway

my mouse randomly decides to die on me for about 2 seconds, then works again. this happens every once in a while, randomly. I dont think it has to do with my system being overloaded, cause sometimes it happens when im simply websurfin...

o, btw, this is on my hp pavilion ze4610us notebook. And it happens both to my attached ps2 mouse and the touchpad...the pointing device is a synaptics something or other...

Check in the background (CTRL+ALT+DEL) for any added programs that could be spyware.
Then click start->run then type in "msconfig" In this tool, you config the startup programs. Click startup tab and uncheck everything that you dont really need. Then reboot. Once it restarts, it will pop up a window, saying that you have used the msconfig tool. Check the box. Hit ok and you are good to go...I think.

i honestly dont think it has anything to do with spyware...becuase sometimes, it happens when nothing is running...the hdd light isnt on...nothing is happening, and my mouse decides to freeze...if its spyware, shouldn't it be using the hdd at least? Also, the comp is almost brand new. I bought it less than a month ago...dont think i've used it to do much...cant think of any way i could have brought it in contact with spyware.

No clue. It couldnt hurt. If you get rid of all of the startup files, it wont do a thing except not run the programs. It wont damage the system.

Just don't remove the microsoft services.
Omg, why do people still use msconfig. Everybody should know how to surf the registry and use services.msc.
