how can i know what my video card is?

hi,im currently trying to play doom 3,i already installed it and all,but when i try to run it it says this:

thats why i want to know my video card,maybe i can update it or something,i dont know if this thread goes here but where else could i put it? thanks in advance

Start-> run -> dxdiag There is a display tab. See what it says there.

it didnt work,it doesnt say my graphics card

Then try start->settings->control panel. Then change the display settings. Go to advanced under the settings tab, then there should be a display adapter tab in the new window.

if it is,its a good one?

dunno, if it is, I've never heard of that card

SiS does make video cards.... but that one is probably not very good. Usually you want an ATi or NVidia, and the onboard Intels are ok occasionally. Google it, see what's up.

you'll want an ATI or Nvidia, also do you know which processor you have(pentium 2... 3... 4?)

i found it,it says identify mainboard by DFI,there are a few things listed here,between them is a nVIDIA nForce3 250 AGPx8 5PCI 1CMR 3DIMM then it says something about mine SiS 651 AGP 3PCI 2DIMM ,then it is my video card i think

Careful about getting a new video card... that one is probably integrated onboard. You need to open up the computer and see if you have an AGP slot, if not, times are going to be rough.
