    Default Linux Drivers

    OK i just loaded SUSE Pro 9.1 (mentioned in another thread) and i need help finding sound and graphic drivers. I went to nvidia.com and the only options for linux it gives me is
    Linux IA32
    Latest Version: 1.0-6111
    Archive

    Linux IA64
    Latest Version: 1.0-5336
    Archive

    Linux AMD64
    Latest Version: 1.0-6111
    Archive

    Free BSD
    Latest Version: 1.0-6113

    OK i have no idea which one to click lol and also if someone could help me find drivers for a Sound Blaster Live LS i would probably give you a big big big hug lol im VERY VERY new to linux and hardly know the basics lol

    I would go with the FreeBSD, since you are running a Linux distro. The other choices are for Windows 32bit, 64bit, and Amd's 64bit.

    My computer specs are.....
    2.0ghz Celeron
    Asus P4G533
    256mb PC2100
    nvidia geforce 4 MX4000 64mb PCI
    Sound Blaster Live LS
    (did i miss anything?)

    Very very bad advice.

    BSD != linux

    All the others say linux next to them and not windows, the rest is referring to the architecture.

    Linux IA32 would be your choice.

    OK can you tell me how to install it lol the only thing i have managed to install on here so far is firefox lol and it actualy came with an installer :O

    This is driving me crazy lol i realy need a linux for dummies book if somone that is experienced with linux could add me to their MSN messenger thing and help me out step by step it would be great

    I will soon be working more on my venture into linux, so I'll need plenty of help myself. Did you happen to get the drivers to work?

    The default drivers can cover most stuff except advanced effects, right?

    Yah everything works but on its most basic settings and i cant get the drivers to work cuase i dont know how to install them....we should start a linux support group lol
