How many processes do you boot with?

Just a curious little poll here. This applies to Windows users only. For those of you who don't know how to check what processes are running right after you boot, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and select Processes.

After various little tweaks, spyware checks, and knocking down unneeded shit I get only 16 processes running when I boot my comp. I may decide to remove 2 or 3 more if I see they aren't necessary.

So, how many do you boot with?

Eh, I can't be bothered rebooting now but about 13, I think. I try to have as few programs running on startup as possible, though...

Less then 10, but i rebuilt the entire XP core from an original 2K engine. It's still being worked on by numero uno, but once I get all the bugs worked out of it, I'll set it loose to the world.

I boot with 11 processes... and i could axe some of those.

32 right now I have like 6 svchosts running. However, It's a lot less when I boot. Under 10 for sure

29 at startup. Norton Antivirus takes 5, also 5 svchost, 1 spoolserver, 1 winlogon, 1 for ZoneAlarm, 1 software to be able to put everything to the tray, 1 services, 1 mltimedia keyboard prog, 2 cooling programs, 2 bandwidth managing programs, 1 ftp server, 1 vsmon, 1 lsass, 1 csrss, 1 explorer, 1 unused process, 1 system, that's all.
I should disable a couple, but I need all of them. No joking.

Edit->I'm actually making some profiles so I can disable a couple when I feel like it.

I use alot as well. I also have about 6 SVChost. And I have a Directxset.exe one in there that bugs me. Since it use to not come out *shakes fist at brother*

I didn't check because i do not want to reboot but if i remember correctly its around 18.

Ok I reduced the useless one and I boot with about 21 now. I can't really reduce more since it's the family computer.

I only have 3 svchost.exe's running. Must be all those Windows XP services I disabled. Anyone interested in disabling the crap in Win XP check out www.blackviper.com, it has loads of comprehensive guides on what services to disable/tweak.
Oh, well since I'm using Norton Personal Firewall '03, then 3 or 4 of those apps should come off(although I want to boot with my firewall activated ). I never keep my antivirus protection in the BG, it just degrades preformance on this already crappy comp. I always scan suspicious files I download, never check email attatchments, and my firewall protects against scripts n' shit, so I'm clean.

Heh heh. Mine usually has only 10-15 running on startup...

But most of them are lan and the system processes.. and some programs that start at startup.
