Trouble with N64 roms

Ok, when I download them they won't work. They always show as wordpad document. I use the pj64 emulator.. all the games I got from this site. What am I doing wrong?

Open the games from the emulator. I have not used any N64 emus, but if it is Windows-thing, then File/Open... and select the file from there. If you want it to open emulator when you double-click on the file, see for that option in emu, or use Folder Options to change association to that file type.

READ THE SITE INFORMATION

ROM = Dump/backup of a cartridge
ISO = Dump/backup of a game CD
