getting started w/ PSX emu's and ROM's

Hey everyone, been browsing around here and I see a lot of N64 related stuff, and not much for PSX. I own a PSone, but I dont have it chipped, and I'd like to find a good emulator that will run for me, I also would like to find some good Rom's and dont really know where to look. (preferably a website - in english - with functioning downloads) Any advice? (PS Ive tried bleem!, no good on my comp, dunno why...)
