The Best of Game Music

Im trying to compile a collection of the best music from games over the ages. Im going for the BEST music, not the most identifible, so Im not including things like the zelda theme. most of my game experience has been with nintendo, so I dont know what else to put on the CD. Id like a broad range of music from different games. if you have any suggestions as to a better track from a game that I have or a song that I should include, please tell me. thanks!

One-Winged Angel [Final Fantasy VII] is a great battle theme.
Megalith -Agnus Dei- [Ace Combat 04] is probably the greatest 'decisive battle' music I have ever heard.
Metal Gear Solid Main Theme is also an awesome addition to that CD.

I tried all of your suggestions except for Itchy and scratchy � Medevil and Megalith -Agnus Dei- [Ace Combat 04]. Also, Im not sure what hangman is referring to when he says the �wind scene� from chrono trigger. I have the entire soundtrack, and I don�t know what you�re talking about. I found that I liked the metal gear solid 2 theme better than that of the original. Here�s the new list:

And the 2nd show down with him is great. NESkimos did a cover of it which is great.

What about Gitaroo man: "The legendary Theme"? And "Resurrection" and "Tainted Lovers"? All great.

The main theme of Metal Gear Solid 2 is a must! That is truly a remarkable piece of art!
And Megaman 2, the first Wily stage. A great piece of music. I'm sure you can find a good remix of it somewhere...
Oh and the Flying Battery zone music from Sonic & Knuckles. Get it!

'Wind Scene' is the name of the music for the 600AD overworld when you first arrive there. And it is called that dammit

Also, go for the Underwater Theme from Donkey Kong Country. Sweet stuff.

I downloaded the wind scene. its alright, but Im not really into it. same with the FF suggestions. but I do really like one-winged angel
