how to set the bios and directories 4 sega cd?

i downloaded sega cd's "the secret of monkey island" and when i try to load it on GENS i get an error saying, bios not set, set it in options, directories...blah blah. i do have the sega cd bios's and saved on the bios part of GENS but have nothing on the directories. So how do i get this game to play? all the files are named correctly. my sega genesis games play just fine.

I have attached a screeny showing how to do this, the red text refer's to the parts marked out in red in the screeny

For the Bios:-
Use the Option drop down and hit Bios/Misc Files, then hit the Change button and sellect your bios file and hit the Save button

There is one extra thing you need to setup in the emu for that game to work and that's Perfect Synchro in the CPU drop down

Extra notes, that you seem to have already done:-
Naming system must be correct for the sound because that game will freeze without them.
CD mem and Cart mem should be formated by hitting button A at the Sega CD logo Press Start screen then selecting Option then formatting both CD and Cart mem from there.

Hey nice info zorlon.
I'm just getting into sega cd emulation myself and I was wondering if anyone could answer a question about it for me?Although I've managed to get everything to work so far I was just interested in knowing exactly what the "Genesis bios, M68000 bios, CGOffline and Manual" options are as I don't have any files to put in these boxes yet everything seems to working fine. Should I track down any of these files (especially M68000 or Genesis bios) or just forget about it and be pleased that everything seems to be running smoothly? Thank you.

Genesis Bios is just not needed but it's just for Genesis/Megadrive roms anyway
M68000 bios is one of the 3 bioses used by 32X Games
CGOffline is an amazing database of every Genesis game , with screens and reviews, once setup if you load in a Genesis/Megadrive game and hit F1 it will display the review and other info from CGOffline
Manual is well it's a Gens Manual and would work with the Gens help options but it hasn't been updated so no longer works with Gens
