Photoshop Tutorial :: Explosion

Well upon Iddi's request, I've made this tutorial on how to make nifty explosion effects. It's harder than my previous tutorial, and needs a little bit of experience. So enjoy it!

Oh and, the final image in the tutorial looks a little weird. That's because I rushed it. I've attached an explosion with this post I had previously made (using the steps mentioned in this tutorial) and used as a nebula. That's how the final image should look like with a bit of patience and accuracy.

Maybe EP should have a Photoshop Tutorial Section/Site or something along those lines. Just a suggestion. O and once again, NJ goes to Gale.

I don't know if I'll make tutorials on how to do stuff from scratch like you do, maybe I'll make some photo effects and stuff... Yeah, we'll see.

Hey thanks for the tut 'Gale, I have a tutorial I wrote for my site, might tough it up and submit it here. Oh and if we do set up a tutorial database, wouldn't it be easier using a script like this - http://phpcafe.net/

Hmmn.. That sure is nice.. But I was thinking more along the lines of a sub-forum, for tutorials and stuff..

Yeah! Submit it here! Especially if it's on how to do that gradient effect! I'd love to know how you do that.

this is a beautiful effect. i wonder why i didn't try it sooner. lazy i guess here is my result. i started to add a starfield by hand but it took too long so i just didn't. here's the result.
