yay, it looks like ps2 emulation is getting close to actually playing games. i feel happy. someday, i'll be able to play ps2 games (of course, by that point used ones will be like $20, but who cares)

    -edit-
despite the sarcastic appearance to the contrary, this does actaully excite me. this really does mean ps2 emulation is starting to be "useful" and that's very good. now all we need is a working gc emulator (plus someone to actaully release icarus) and the next-gen systems will finally have been "taken care of"

Unfortunately, I'm going to assume that PS2 emulation will never run at full speed on a 2.0 GHz P4. Oh well, maybe eventually I'll be able to play Final Fantasy X/X-2, Kingdom Hearts, etc.

It's just a matter of time I guess... Well that and getting a really good computer

    Nevertheless, it's a somewhat inspiring screenshot ^^

I remember seeing that shot a couple of weeks ago. I am getting excited even though I already have a PS2. If it ever gets to where it could run on my PC I would be happy because then I could play my PS2 games at a lot higher resolution like I do on N64.

Yeah, it takes a superb computer to run PS2 games eventually.. Maybe it takes more then 3 ghz processor and needs 1024 mb memory and best grapchics card.

It may be old news, but it wasn't posted here Look around a bit and you'll find some near fully textured SF3 shots on the PS2 too.

    hahah 10fps?
When emulating something vastly complex as the PS2, and getting a TENFOLD increase in speed, then it's not really a laughing matter.

I don't want to sound like a newb... but I can't get anything working on PCSX2 (I know it doesn't support games yet so don't take my comment that way), not even the bios.
