I didn't notice it, but it is probably there. As long as The Bends is on there, RollingStone.com has avoided chastisement.

this list sucks. i think that all lists that try to come up with "the greastest ANYTHING of all time" suck. to many ppl have different opinions. i would have had hendrix, the doors, ramones, nirvana, the beatles, johnny cash, james brown, elvis, run dmc, metallica, led zeplin, and great ppl like that at the top of the list. and stupid pop stars and white boy rappers would not even make my greatest 1,000,000 albums list. oh well. that's life. oh! and some dj krush and bjork just because i like them. they would be on my list too. and 386dx because it makes me laugh. and maybe the chipmunks singing gangsta rap.... oh.... never mind.

I don't see how any albums by groups that have become big in the past fifteen years can be called classics. Maybe that's not entirely true. Primus' Sailing the Seas of Cheese is definitely a classic, and that was released in 1991 (my favorite Primus album is 1997's Brown Album, but Seas of Cheese is more groundbreaking). And I would say other albums, like 2112 (the 1976 Rush album that showed the world that Canada could rock), should have been higher on the list, while pointless crap like anything TLC, Eminem, and Jay-Z (except for possibly that Grey Album; I just got it today, and I want to listen to it) should not have even been considered.
Of course, I would have had much different Top Ten:
    1. Blood Sugar Sex Magik - Red Hot Chili Peppers
    2. Brown Album - Primus
    3. OK Computer - Radiohead
    4. Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild - CKY
    5. Check Your Head - Beastie Boys
    6. Tenacious D - S/T
    7. Toxicity - System of a Down
    8. Labor Days - Aesop Rock
    9. Frizzle Fry - Primus
    10. anthem. - Less Than Jake
And you all would have *****ed at me.

    I have one.
    1. Get Rich or Die Trying - 50 Cent
    2. Nellyville - Nelly
    3. The Marshall Mathers LP - Eminem
    4. Is This It - The Strokes
    5. Break The Cycle - Staind
    6. Faceless - Godsmack
    7. Cracked Rear View - Hootie and the Blowfish
    8. Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi
    9. Americana - The Offspring (sad, since their previous albums were all great)
    10. Fly - The Dixie Chicks (Country music is NOT supposed to be about pop stuff; it's supposed to be more down-to-earth, grassroots, traditional music; for this reason, I really like Willy Nelson)

Indeed a shitty list. Marley on 46? Geez, it should be on the top 20. Metallica's place on the list was quite a surprise too. I didn't even see Pearl Jam on the list! (I mightve not looked hard enough). The only albums I thought that were worthy were pushed way down the list. Too much popshit these days, whatever happened to good ol' music...
Listen to the song titled "Instant Music" by The Pillows(it's in the FLCL soundtrack btw). Listen to the lyrics(if you know Japanese) or look for the translation, its quite interesting. "Instant music is flooding this world" or something like that, which pertains to all the pop-crap that is coming out these days.

EDIT: Nvm about PJ, I found Vitalogy on number 492. Holy fucking deep-fried shit 0.o The fucktards that wrote up that list deserve to be tortured with Avril Lavigne music.
