    Default Good VCD Burning Program

I'm looking for a good program to use to burn VCDs. The one I'm currently using, VCDEasy, has decided to stop working on me, and I can't figure out why.

Anyone offer some help? I'd prefer a freeware program, but I can also work with shareware.

Nero is a very good program for anything CDs. It even lets you create a virtual CD drive, if that interests you...

Nero can also take any video source since it has built in converters. That way you don't have to worry about getting the right settings on converting the video because Nero will take care of all that for you.

built in video converters you say? I must correct you on that as nero does not have the filters build in for legal reasons. You have to either buy them or get them in a less than legal way from the internet somewhere

It is. I'm looking more for freeware or shareware. While I could download a trial version of Nero, I already have one and have run out the trial-time. And no, I am not going to hack it to get it registered. Thus, I look for more. I tried Super DVD Creator, but that has a 100MB limit on trial mode, which doesn't suit me and my 233MB files. =\

You could try TMPGenc. I think that is how it is spelled. It makes MPEG1 files for VCDs and makes MPEG2 files for SVCD and DVD. You have to pay for the DVD, but the VCD is free.

I use the commercial version of VCDEasy. It has everything I need. An alternative is Nero. Other than that, I know of nothing but of course the more expensive software like Pinnacle Studio, etc.

I would try searching on TechTV. Make sure you set the time to Anytime and All shows. They have a lot of free files.
