I like the works of J.R.R Tolkien. I have read the enitire Lord of the Rings, and I think I will start The Simarlion soon.
no there is no 4th part yet....AF is your above the average satire fantasy novel, not that great, the 3rd book was a bit of a bore though.
i love the yes minister/prime minister series if we're talking about series,so was the belgaraid by david eddings(thats the first fantasy series i read,so maybe it got more of a hold on me).i like some of richard bach, uhm i liked pickwick papers, nice transcendence of comedy and tragedy in it.
oh yeah, and atlas shrugged and fountainhead were cool.
some of the early john grishams are really good.
hms ulysses by alistair maclean was damn good, his infiltration ones are good too,but ulysses beats the lot
stephen hawking's a history of time,is really good because it is excellent for simplifying complex physics which i'll probably not bother with till i'm in college.
bandicoot run, written by some indian author i can't remember right now was good too.
and the importance of being earnest and comedy of errors are probably the most well written comedies i've ever read, though they both are plays.
dang,i can't put finger on a single book
oh yeah to kill a mocking bird was good...i can't possibly remember all the good novels i've read.

i am a complete fan of j.archer also.even fredrick forsythe is
good:\ but is yes minister areally readable book?
i have heard bad things about it in scot.
I've been reading The Romance of the Three Kingdoms off and on for a while. I'll read it for a week or two, take a break, continue later, repeat...
is there a sequel to the book"the amulet of samarkand"
and i am really feeling low because i have got only 1 vote
so if somebody will be kind enough to give me 5 star
changing the topic have you seen the size of the book "asuitable boy" its huge
The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan is awesome.
The Belgeriad and its successor The Mallorean are two series of extremely awesome storytelling.
A song ice and fire by Gearge R R Martin is really, really good too.
I still have to read the Ender series by Orson Scott Card, looks promising...
well, i like grisham...atleast his earlier works pelican brief, rainmaker and the chamber being my favs.i really liked archer's not a penny... top notch stuff.and i happen to like yes minister because it happens to be one of those rare politically correct comedies out there.of course some idiots are put off by its whitehall language, but after a few chapters,it makes the book all the more enjoyable.and amulet of samarkand doesn't have a sequel....yet.i haven't read any vikram seth though...he wrote a suitable boy,right?...not sure.Originally posted by hemingway

Umm well first of all J. Grisham is a very good writer who you may not particularly care for. If he was a complete idiot then he wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as he has become with his novels, which speaks something about his person as a whole, as well as his intelligence. People won't read novels if there is no intellectual basis, trust me.Originally posted by hemingway

As for my favorite books, I have far too many to list. I prefer fantasy the most, but don't really like to flip through too many authors. I mainly stick with JRR Tolkein, RA Salvatore, Joanne Bertin, Robert Jordan, Dave Duncan and Jacqueline Carey. I also enjoy some other novels, such as Tom Clancy, as well as biographies.
hey sorry to all those j.grisham fans guess i got carried away alot but if any one of you all is a deep reader ,i advice him to read "the god of small things"and"eragon"
bye the way my senses tell me that some one has voted this burdurter.the one who has done this good deed may
step forward
Timeline is probably the best novel i've read. Airframe was great too.
get on your bikes and ride!
I have already posted, but I think a novel to go with the game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would be a good novel. The story of the game is telling the story. You can even hear the prince telling the story after dramatic parts of the game, and they have great emotion and wording. If they wrote an entire book like that I would get it.
I like The Hitchhiker Guide To The Galaxy Series by Douglas Adams the most.
Yep, that series is super funny and stuff.
So I make games now sort of. Check the out the one I have in the IGF this year, its totally free: www.mackvswindows.com
Also add me on things.

Game networks on my profile.
