    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html
    download 3.11, 4.x, and 5.x

    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html
    then download this xvid codec

These should be all codec's you need to play any divx avi files.

didn't work!!... why you little... *choking BTZ*

Ok here lets first find out what codec the file is converted too.
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/...gs_editor.html

Then after abcavitags tells you the codec download that codec from:
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/

or if this site doesn't have the specific codec; do a search for in google. Note that you might also have a bogus file. Whats the file name and size may I ask.

Err... the Nimo codec pack sucks, and Gspot is to find out what codec a video file needs. I suggest you use the K-Lite Codec Pack, and if you can't find it via Google, I could send it to you, just PM me...

LoL... the Nimo codec pack has a lot of stuff in it that's either redundant or outdated. Whereas the K-Lite Codec Pack has only the neccessary ones.

You can find the K-Lite Codec pack here:
    http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/finalbuilds.htm

At first you'll see nothing but flashing banners on the page. But if you scroll down, you will see the links.

Avoid codec packs. I recommend downloading all codecs separately. DivX and Xvid should be all you need for MPEG-4 encoded avi's.

try using the ace mega codec pack, it has just about every codec in exhistence, just do a search for it in www.filemirrors.com use this string: acemcp593pro, it's really big (about 50 megs) so be careful...

Problem is though installing codecs takes up room and makes your computer more unstable.

You really should only install the codecs as you need them.

Get XviD Koepi's build and DivX. maybe even the OGG directshow filter, should work.
