    Default GBA Flash Cart Emulation

I was just wondering, do you have to unzip the ROM or can you keep it zipped while you play it in cart?

I'm pretty sure you have to unzip it.
The cart isn't really emulation. I think it reads the data just like it would any other game so it isn't emulation. This is for GBA games. I don't know if you are talking about NES emulation or something.

The game has to be unzipped because the program that does the flashing only reads gba and gb extensions.

Also is it possible to use flash cartridges for file storage? For example, you rename a file and flash it onto the cartridge (mine has 32mb of storage) then you flash it back to the computer and rename it back to its original extension. Would that work?

Its not that tough to find information on them. Do a google search for "GBA Flash"

You could, but there's a chance the software that transfers the files will add some sort of headers. Although, a floppy disk, or even a CDRW would be far more cost effective and practical to use. Plus flash carts do have a limited number of flashes they can do, so you shouldn't just use it for nothing.
