does anyone check imdb listings for accuracy? I just watched the movie city beneath the sea the movie was supposed to have been made in 1966 it was made in 1953 that aside it was slightly better than around the world under the sea.
I fail to see how this movie got classified as scifi there was no aliens, monsters, spaceships, computers, advanced subs or even diving suits they just used old wooden(ocean going)fishing boats and old diving suits with the weighted boots, belts and helmets
at least around the world under the sea had a state of the art sub, computers and under water senors but I guess that's the difference 13 years make

apparently. when I was looking not long ago I seen probably 200+ movies all with the words "psychic powers" listed in the description or title listed as scifi.

It gets treated as a catchall as you've seen . I greatly prefer high scif-fi or fantasy myself.

today's movie was just what the nerd ordered it had time travel, computers, lasers, cyborgs, and science experiments involving a chimp. The name of the movie cyborg 2087, it was a decent movie for when it was made it had a few good action scenes. my only gripe is they didn't seem to put much thought into the costumes.
