Anyone played much of the weapon master mode yet?
Weapon Master? Did they bring back the weapon feature ala Soulblade? Because I was kinda miffed at it's omission from Calibur, it was an interesting feature... Or is it just ala Soul Calibur's Mission Battle mode?

Im not entirely sure Ed, although I am led to believe that it is very similar in essence to Soulblades extra mode. The basic premise is that you fight various enemies to set criteria, ie defeat 4 characters using one health bar, only win using counters, trawling through 'dungeons' et cetera. For your time and efforts you can unlock stages, costumes, different game modes and stuff. Good fun, actually, and it keeps me off the streets.

Yeah, Calibur's was the same, but it missed out on the statistic based weaponry of Blade. Which was a shame.

I was not at all found of Tekken 4 it's like a bit improvement of Tekken 3, and then a step down from Tekken Tag...what the heck is up with that???

Since your talking about tekken i would say that tekken 2 is the best in the series but soul callliber 2 is way better becuase of the awsome characters and well weapons of course. Im gonna buy it for the Xbox because i dont like Heihachi and i dont own a gamecube.

To me Spawn is the most intresting addition out of all the 3 he also seems to fit into the game better then other 2 characters.

It is a thing to master all the moves of a certain character (it is easy, since the game doesn't focus on multiple directional moves, like double circle forward, and stuff like that), but it better to know how to use them wisely and efficiently.

That's why I love(d?) SoulCalibur: it offers a great gameplay without having to learn "stupidly" special moves (oh gosh! I still remember me learning all the 10 hits or more for Tekken 2 and 3...)

It is an instinctive game that really has a gameplay on its own, not a simple "put a special command here to totally wipe your opponent".

(I don't know if I'm understable, but basically, I say that SC offers the ability to play freely, unlike most of the others 3D fighting games, such as Tekken)

I'd agree there, Tekken really is more of a 'learn all the moves off by heart and win' kind of game, Soul Calibur is faster paced and leaves for more improvisation, which means it's a little more interesting to me...

I have a PS2 and a Gamecube, so most likely I will buy the game for GC because of the Link Factor.

Your right...but now that i can actually do most of his moves i now can do them on the fly instead of accidentally pulling one off as randomly mash the buttons hopeing i pull of a cool move (which is what i was doing before i started tryin to learn his moves)... well actually sometimes i still do randomly mash buttons thing...and yes sometimes it works .

Now off to learn how to use cassandra...weeeee.

I'll probably get it for the Gamecuber because it's the only next-gen system I have.

I played the demo in Wal-mart a couple times, and it was great. I used the girl because I hate big and slow guys. The final guy you fight is freaky, though.
